هدفت الدراسة إلى معرفة اتجاهات أعضاء هيئة التدريس في كلية التربية الأساسية بدولة الكويت نحو النشر مفتوح الوصول (Open Access Publishing)، وذلك من خلال درجة مشاركتهم فيه ومقارنة أدوارهم كقراء ومؤلفين وعلاقتها بتخصصاتهم الأكاديمية وكذلك معرفة مميزات النشر عبر (OAP) ومعوقاته من وجهة نظرهم. وقد استخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي انطلاقاً من عينة مكونة من (112) عضواً من أعضاء هيئة التدريس من كافة التخصصات. وكان من أبرز النتائج أن نسبة نشر الأبحاث عبر (OAP) بلغت (57.1%) في التخصصات العلمية بينما وصلت نسبة استخدام الأبحاث المنشورة في (OAP) كمراجع إلى (75.5%). مقابل ذلك، بلغت هاتين النسبتين (33.3%) و(58.7%) على التوالي، في التخصصات الإنسانية. كما توصلت الدراسة إلى بعض مميزات ومعوقات النشر في (OAP)، حسب وجهة نظر أعضاء هيئة التدريس. وتجلت أبرز التوصيات في إزالة المعوقات التي تواجه النشر في (OAP) والتعرف على ماهية السياسات المتعلقة بهذا النوع من النشر وبضرورة مراجعة السياسات الوطنية العامة والمؤسسية الخاصة المتعلقة بالاتصال الأكاديمي لتشمل استخدام واعتماد النشر مفتوح الوصول (OAP). The study aimed to know the attitudes of faculty members at the College of Basic Education in The State of Kuwait towards open access publishing (OAP), through the degree of their participation in it, and to compare their roles as readers and authors and their relationship to their academic specializations, and to know the advantages and obstacles of publishing through (OAP), the descriptive-analytical approach was used, and the study sample consist of 112 faculty members, the results was that scientific disciplines have published research in (OAP) at a rate of (57.1%), but they used as references (75.5%), the percentage of publication of humanitarian specialties in (OAP) was (33.3%), but as references was (58.7%), also found some advantages and obstacles in publishing through (OAP), the most prominent recommendations were: removing the obstacles facing publishing in (OAP), identifying what the policies related to this type of publication are, and the need to review national public policies, and private institution related to academic communication, to include the use and approval of open access publication.
