هدفت هذه الدراسة الى تقديم رؤية لتطوير برامج إعداد المعلمين في الدول العربية في ضوء توجهات العالم المعاصر. تم إستخدام المنهج التحليلي التركيبي، وعرضت الدراسة لأهم برامج اعداد المعلمين في الأدب التربوي، ومعايير المعلم الفعال، وتم توضيح أهمية تطوير برامج إعداد المعلمين في كليات العلوم التربوية في الجامعات العربية، والإتجاهات العالمية المعاصرة في مجال إعداد المعلمين كما تطبقها الأنظمة التربوية الفاعلة. وفي ضوء ذلك، تم اقتراح رؤية لتطوير برامج إعداد المعلمين في الدول العربية، تقوم على ثلاثة أبعاد: 1) إختيار الطلبة الملتحقين بكليات التربية (تطوير سياسات القبول). 2) وإعداد الطلبة/المعلمين في ضوء معايير المعلم المتميز مع التركيز على برنامج التربية العملية. 3) وأخيرا توفير برامج لتنمية هؤلاء المعلمين وتقويم أداءاتهم بإستمرار. وقد جرى التحقق من مدى ملاءمة هذه الرؤية المقترحة من وجهة نظر الخبراء والمختصين. This study aimed to present a vision for developing teacher education in Arab countries in the light of contemporary world trends. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the analytical- synthetic approach was used. The study presented: 1) The most important teacher preparation programs in educational literature. 2) the effective teacher standards. 3) the importance of developing teacher training programs in colleges of educational sciences in Arab universities. 4) and contemporary world trends in the field of teacher preparation as applied by effective educational systems. In light of those, a vision was proposed to develop teacher education in Arab countries. This vision is based on three dimensions: 1) First, selecting students enrolled in colleges of education (Developing admission policies). 2) Second, Preparing students/teachers in the light of distinguished teacher standards with a focus on the practical education program. 3) Third, providing professional development programs for these teachers and constantly evaluating their performance. The suitability of this proposed vision has been verified from the viewpoint of experts and specialists. (Published abstract)
