هدفت الدراسة إلى تحليل واكتشاف مدى تضمين مظاهر النوع الاجتماعي وأدواره في كتاب الدراسات الاجتماعية للصف الخامس الأساسي من المنهاج الفلسطيني الجديد، من خلال تحليل نصوص الكتاب وموضوعاته والصور والرسومات، لمعرفة مدى مساهمة هذا الكتاب في تنمية شخصية الطالب ومدى الإنصاف والمساواة وعدم التحيز لجانب معين من جوانب النوع الاجتماعي (الرجل والمرأة) في الكتاب، وتوصلت الدراسة إلى عدد من النتائج أبرزها: 1) ركز الكتاب بشكل كبير على النشاطات التي يمارسها الرجل خارج المنزل حيث ذكرت العديد من المهن والأعمال التي يقوم بها الرجل والتي تفوق الأعمال التي تقوم بها المرأة فكانت أعمالها قليلة جداً، واقتصرت على مهن محدودة. 2) فاق عدد المهن والأعمال التي يمارسها الرجل عدد المهن والأعمال التي تقوم بها المرأة، فمن خلال النصوص تمت الإشارة إلى مهنة واحدة تمارسها المرأة ألا وهي مهنة التعليم. 3) فاق ورود الشخصيات من الرجال على النساء في نصوص الكتاب بشكل كبير فكانت أعلى لصالح الرجل بنسبة %63 بينما كانت للمرأة بنسبة %37. وتوصلت الدراسة إلى مجموعة من التوصيات من أهمها: 1) زيادة الاهتمام بتمثيل المرأة في الصور والرسومات التي يتضمنها الكتاب. 2) إبراز دور المرأة من خلال المهن والأعمال التي تمارسها خارج البيت كونها عنصرا منتجا في المجتمع إلى جانب الرجل وليس الإقتصار فقط على دورها التقليدي داخل المنزل. 3) إظهار عنصر المساواة بين الرجل والمرأة من خلال إعادة مراجعة بعض الحوارات التي تظهر مفارقة كبيرة بين الرجل والمرأة في بعض القضايا. The study aimed at analyzing and discovering the extent to which the gender aspects and their roles are included in the book of social studies for the fifth grade of the new Palestinian curriculum by analyzing the text of the book, its subjects, pictures and The study reached the following .drawings. (Men and women) in the book conclusions: 1) The book focused on the activities of men outside the home significantly, where many of the professions and businesses practiced by men outside the home, while the work carried out by women outside the house was few and limited to limited occupations very limited. 2) The man exceeds the number of professions and works that he practices in the texts of the book, so that the texts of the book mentioned only one profession practiced by the teacher. 3) The number of male characters exceeded women in the text of the book, with a big difference for men (63% for men and 37% for women). The study reached the following recommendations: 1) Increase the interest in the representation of women in the images and drawings included in the book of social studies for the fifth grade. 2) To highlight the professions and works practiced by women outside the home as a productive component in society alongside men and not only to highlight their traditional role within the home. 3) Re-review some dialogues in which a great paradox between men and women in some issues to be equal and fair between them in these dialogues.
