This study aimed to identify the most important concepts related to school administration and its functions, then leadership, theories and patterns, as well as the leadership style of the principal, the performance of teachers, and highlight the relationship between the leadership style of the principal and the performance of teachers. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, a descriptive approach was adopted, including descriptions, statistics, analysis and survey of references, including previous studies. Accordingly, the schools in the area under study were counted, which included public and private schools in the southern suburbs of Beirut. The study population included 34 schools, 1504 male and female teachers, and 16 schools (47.05%) and 410 teachers (27.26%). The study tool was a questionnaire addressed to teachers in order to determine their views to determine the leadership style of the principal and what impact it could have on the performance of teachers in the specific area. After analyzing and discussing the analytical data, it was found that the three types of leadership democratic, dictatorial and missionary are existed. A correlation between leadership style and job performance was found to show that the democratic leadership style is the most positively impacted on job performance, while dictatorship and missionary patterns negatively affect job performance.
