The study aimed at identifying gender identity disorders in children in order to identify the psychological, family, social, economic and psychological problems that led to this disorder. The researchers used the clinical method on a sample of one child from Ma'an Governorate. The following tools were applied: case study, the interview. The results indicate that the causes of gender identity disorder in kindergarten are due to several factors including: parental differences, constant tension before children, poor parenting methods of child cruelty and neglect, beatings that affect the child's psyche and harm his compatibility with others and strengthen him more than he imitates in his actions to become like him, leading to the disruption of their gender identity. The drawings of a child with gender identity also reflect a lack of satisfaction of needs and a regression to previous developmental stages for greater satisfaction. (Published abstract)
