The study aimed to identify the mechanisms of the benefit from scientific research results in the light of knowledge economy in private universities in Riyadh, identify the obstacles of activating the benefit from scientific research results in the light of knowledge economy in private universities in Riyadh, and identify the most important ways proposed for improvement Study approach: The researcher used the descriptive survey approach. Study tools: meeting and questionnaire. Study community The study community consists of administrative leaders in the private universities in Riyadh (Prince Sultan University (PSU), Dar Al Uloom University, Al Yamamah Private University) Study results: The study concluded with a number of results: 1) There is a considerable agreement among the study members on the mechanisms of the benefit from scientific researches results in the light of knowledge economy in private universities in Riyadh, where the mechanisms of support and expenditure on scientific research in the light of the knowledge economy ranked first, and second rank comes with the mechanisms of scientific research improvement in the light of the knowledge economy, and finally the mechanisms of raising the efficiency of researchers in the light of the knowledge economy as the least mechanisms to benefit from scientific researches results in the light of knowledge economy in private universities in Riyadh. 2) There is a considerable agreement among the study members on the obstacles that facing the benefit from scientific researches results in private universities, where the obstacles associated with communication between research prepared and research users in the light of the knowledge economy ranked first, followed by the obstacle associated with research prepared in the light of the knowledge economy, finally the obstacle associated with research users in the light of the knowledge economy as the least obstacles that facing the benefit from scientific researches results in private universities in Riyadh. 3) Giving more independence and flexibility to the private universities in innovation and development of working mechanisms. Recommendations: The Study Concluded with a Set of Recommendations and the most important are: 1) Establishing a financial support fund for investment in the results of scientific researches in the light of knowledge economy and encouraging the governmental and private institutions and companies to allocate percentage of profits to support this fund. 2) Giving more independency and flexibility to the private universities in the procedures that are used in supporting expenditure on scientific researches in the light of knowledge economy. 3) Formulating the objective and necessary standards to determine the priorities of scientific research, where the results showed that the absence of these standards are from the obstacles that are associated with research producers in the light of the knowledge economy.
