The study aimed to know and reveal the challenges that Saudi families faced in educating their children and to draw the proposals in light of the challenges that Saudi families faced under the emerging Coronavirus pandemic "COVID-19" The researcher used the descriptive survey approach as they suit the study goals. The population of the current study included all parents who have male students or female students in the stages of general education during the academic year 2019- 2020. As for the sample of the study, it included (412) people who were chosen in a random manner. The questionnaire was used as a tool to collect data in the current study, in order to suit the topic of study, to achieve its goals and to answer its questions. The study found some results, most notably: Despite the keenness of Saudi families to continue their children's education and to complete of the academic year, the students did not achieve the maximum possible benefit from distance education, as all possible means of distance education were not employed in the best possible way. Among the challenges they faced, that the application of e-learning in light of the Coronavirus pandemic "COVID-19" emerging, came suddenly without preparation or advance work. Among the difficulties that families faced, the lack of technological devices for all students, in addition to the presence of some problems related to the difficulty of connecting to the Internet in some areas, as well as there are some factors related to teachers' insufficiency in the skills of using modern techniques in education, and the high cost of designing and producing educational software. The study made many proposals, including: The education to be interactive in conjunction with the teacher at the same time, to provide laptop computers or smart devices to students, to provide a free internet network for all male and female students, and to improve education sites to make them more attractive, and other proposals.
