The study aimed to identify the role of social upbringing institutions in addressing the phenomenon of sports fanaticism among Saudi youth from the perspective of sociologists in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The study used the descriptive analytical approach, through the interview tool on a purposive sample of ten faculty members in the Sociology Department at Saudi universities. The study found that the family has a central role in addressing the phenomenon of sports fanaticism by instilling positive values and ethics, raising children's awareness of the dangers of fanaticism, encouraging them to practice sports in a healthy way, attending matches together, and discussing them in a sporting spirit, and building a sound athletic personality. Continuous communication and close monitoring also help guide children towards proper behaviors. The study also emphasized the role of the school in confronting sports fanaticism through awareness and education about the dangers of sports fanaticism, providing a positive model from teachers, and instilling positive sports values. The mosque also contributes to encouraging the right sporting spirit and confronting sports fanaticism. Finally, the study pointed to the role of the media in addressing the phenomenon of sports fanaticism through awareness-raising, guiding sports thought, and reinforcing sports values and ethics.
