The research aimed to monitor the most important challenges facing the use of artificial intelligence applications in education at the College of Basic Education in the State of Kuwait from the point of view of faculty members. The descriptive approach was adopted, and therefore a questionnaire tool was prepared that included (33) statements on challenges related to each of the educational environment and its equipment, challenges related to the faculty member and challenges related to the student. It was applied to a sample of (225) members. The results revealed high estimates of the presence of challenges related to the educational environment and its equipment, and a moderate degree of challenges related to students and faculty members. The results also revealed that there were no statistically significant differences in the sample’s estimates of the extent of the challenges facing the employment of artificial intelligence in the college according to both the variables of type and academic degree, while differences were found according to the specialization variable in favor of faculty members in the pure scientific specializations and the humanities and literary sciences. The faculty members put forward a set of suggestions to face these challenges, the most important of which are: the necessity of planning for digital transformation and enhancing the application of artificial intelligence programs and applications in education at the college. The also suggested providing an infrastructure equipped with the necessary devices and programs and offering training courses on employing artificial intelligence applications in the educational environment.
