This study aimed to identify the patterns of the relationship between alexithymia and the state and trait of anger and its expression among delinquent adolescents and others, the difference between the two groups in alexithymia and anger of all kinds, and the prevalence rate of alexithymia between the two groups. The descriptive correlative approach was used on a sample consisting of (N = 211) adolescents, [155 were non-delinquent, 56 were delinquent], to whom the Toronto Alexithymia Scale (translation by Aledan, 2019a), and Spielberger's list of the state and trait of anger and its expression patterns (translation by Al-Qurashi, 1997) were applied. Their ages ranged between (12-18) years. The study results showed that the levels of alexithymia were close between the two samples, and most of the respondents did not suffer from alexithymia. The results also indicated that there were no significant differences between the two groups in alexithymia, and in the state and trait of anger and its patterns of expression. Anger among delinquents, and their ability to control anger is less than that of delinquents. Perhaps we can say that alexithymia, the state and character of anger, and patterns of expression are not directly related to delinquency. (Published abstract)
