هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى الكشف عن تصورات معلمي المدارس لأهمية مهارات التعلم والمهارات الاجتماعية في تحقيق النجاح المدرسي للطلبة. المنهجية: جمعت البيانات من 211 معلماً ومعلمة من ثماني مدارس ثانوية في منطقة بني كنانة في الأردن، واستخدمت الباحثة في هذه الدراسة جزءاً من الأداة التي بناها فريدريكسون وأوسبورن وريد (Frederickson, Osborne & Reed,2004). النتائج: 1) إن مهارات التعلم "هامة جداً" في تحقيق النجاح للطلبة، وإن كافة الفقرات جاءت بمستوى "هامة" أو "هامة جداً". 2) إن المهارات الاجتماعية "هامة جداً" في تحقيق النجاح للطلبة، وإن كافة الفقرات جاءت بمستوى "هامة" أو "هامة جداً". 3) لا يوجد اختلاف في تصورات المعلمين لأهمية مهارات التعلم والمهارات الإجتماعية في تحقيق النجاح المدرسي للطلبة تبعاً لمتغيرات الدراسة المستقلة. واستناداً إلى النتائج خلصت الباحثة إلى عدد من التوصيات. This study explores instructor’s perceptions of the importance of learning and social skills in the school success of high school students. Method: Analysis was based on data collected from a survey of 211 teachers at eight secondary schools in Bany-Kanana, Jordan. The researcher utilized an instrument applied in the study by Frederickson, Osborne and Reed 2004. Results: 1) The means show that learning skills rank very important as an indicator for school success and that all items related to this domain were ranked as either important, or very important. 2) The means show that social skills rank very important as an indicator for school success and that all items related to this domain were ranked as either important, or very important. 3) The study indicates no significant differences among teachers’ perceptions with reference to the independent variables. The researcher concludes the study by making some recommendations in light of the above findings. (Published abstract)
