The research focused on studying, recording and documenting the history of athletics in the city of Nineveh during the seventies of the last century, as this activity had a long and long history in graduating a group of athletes who became famous in several other sports, and as far as the schools of Nineveh Governorate were concerned, the researcher deliberately shed light on the history. This activity in the city’s schools and the bids submitted by the directorate of sports activity over the past period at the local level, and the research problem is determined by the lack of documentation of the track of sports, including athletics in the city of Nineveh which is one of the most important problems that accompany the development of the sports movement in this city. There are few efforts and historical studies and scientific methodology, which took upon themselves scientific efforts, except for a few that took upon themselves the study of the history of various sports and scouting games, and contained the conclusions reached by the researcher in the light of the extracted results, including encouraging researchers to write the history of Nineveh sport and document it with theses, theses and research.
