This study is designed to find out the extent to which the mental image for first year students at the college of physical education has been improved and whether it achieved the aim for which it is found by constructing a measure to be as a reliable source for researchers and those concerned in scouting. The problem of the study relies in the fact that there is no specific measure to estimate scouting mental images for students of physical education, thus, this study aims at constructing such measures. The study is limited to first year students, college of physical education, university of Diyala for the academic year (2020-2021). Whereas the date of the study is during the period (15/12 -2/5- 2012). The type of research design is a survey quantitative design which is suitable for the problem of the study. The population of the study is represented by (210) first year students, while the sample, which is chosen randomly, is represented by (134) students with a percentage of (63.80). The pilot study which consists of 20 students has been eliminated from the study. The measure, in its final version, consists of 61 items for the final application. Researchers have recommended that this measure is hoped to be reliable for measuring students scouting mental image for students at colleges of physical education. (Published abstract)
