هدف البحث إلى قياس فاعلية وحدة مطورة في الجغرافيا قائمة على نظم المعلومات الجغرافية لتنمية الوعي المائي المستدام لدى طلاب المرحلة الثانوية الأزهرية. اعتمد البحث على الأداتين التاليتين (من إعداد الباحث): 1) اختبار تحصيلي للجزء المعرفي للوعي المائي المستدام . 2) مقياس الوعي المائي المستدام .أشارت نتائج البحث إلى أنه: 1) يوجد فرق ذو دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى دلالة (0.05) بين متوسطي درجات طلاب مجموعة البحث في الجانب المعرفي للوعي المائي المستدام في القياسين القبلي والبعدي، وهذا الفرق لصالح القياس البعدي. 2) يوجد فرق ذو دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى دلالة (0.05) بين متوسطي درجات طلاب مجموعة البحث في بعد المساعي الدولية الخاصة بالوعي المائي المستدام في القياسين القبلي والبعدي، وهذا الفرق لصالح القياس البعدي. 3) يوجد فرق ذو دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى دلالة (0.05) بين متوسطي درجات طلاب مجموعة البحث في بعد الحس المائي الخاص بالوعي المائي المستدام في القياسين القبلي والبعدي، وهذا الفرق لصالح القياس البعدي. 4) يوجد فرق ذو دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى دلالة (0.05) بين متوسطي درجات طلاب مجموعة البحث في بعد المسؤولية الوطنية الخاصة بالوعي المائي المستدام في القياسين. The objective of the research is to measure the impact of the effectiveness of a developed unit in geography based on geographic information systems to develop sustainable water awareness among AlAzhar secondary school students. The research relied on the following two tools (prepared by the researcher): 1) Achievement test for the cognitive part of sustainable water awareness. 2) Sustainable water awareness scale. Research results: 1) There is a statistically significant difference at the significance level (α≤0.05) between the average scores of the study group students in the cognitive aspect of sustainable water awareness in the pre- and postmeasurements, and this difference is in favor of the post-measurement. 2) There is a statistically significant difference at the significance level (α ≤ 0.05) between the average scores of the study group students in the dimension of international endeavors related to sustainable water awareness in the pre- and post-measurements, and this difference is in favor of the post-measurement. 3) There is a statistically significant difference at the level of significance (α ≤ 0.05) between the average scores of the study group students in the water sense dimension of sustainable water awareness in the pre- and post-measurements, and this difference is in favor of the postmeasurement. 4) There is a statistically significant difference at the level of significance (α ≤ 0.05) between the average scores of the study group students in the dimension of national responsibility for sustainable water awareness in the pre- and post-measurements, and this difference is in favor of the post-measurement. 5) The effect size in terms of the Eta square: The calculated effect size value is (huge), meaning that there is a huge effect size for a unit developed in geography based on geographic information systems in developing dimensions of sustainable water awareness as a whole among Al-Azhar secondary school students.
