في ضوء توقيع مصر على خطة التنمية المستدامة بمقر هيئة الأمم المتحدة، كان من الضروري إعداد استراتيجية للتنمية المستدامة بمصر تراعى متطلبات النمو، وتراعى حق الأجيال القادمة حتى عام 2030، وتعبر عن الملامح الأساسية لمصر الجديدة. وتضمنت رؤية مصر أثني عشر محوراً هي: محور التعليم، والابتكار والمعرفة والبحث العلمي، والعدالة الاجتماعية، والشفافية وكفاءة المؤسسات الحكومية، والتنمية الاقتصادية، والتنمية العمرانية، والطاقة، والثقافة، والبيئة، والسياسة الداخلية، والأمن القومي والسياسة الخارجية، والصحة. ولذا أصبحت الحاجة ملحة لتنمية الفهم العميق والدافعية نحو التعلم من خلال تضمين رؤية مصر ‎2030 بمناهج الدراسات الاجتماعية لتلاميذ المرحلة الابتدائية، والتي تفرضها احتياجات طبيعة العالم المعاصر وتطلعات المجتمع المصري الذي يهدف إلى التقدم، فالتلاميذ الذين يوظفون الفهم العميق في التعلم يحاولون أن يستخرجوا المعنى من نص موضوعات وحدات الدراسات الاجتماعية التي يدرسونه فضلاً عن أنهم لا يقبلون موضوعات بدون فحص ناقد ومتميز. أدوات ومواد البحث: أ) المواد التعليمية، وتمثلت في: 1) قائمة ببرامج ومشروعات استراتيجية التنمية المستدامة رؤية مصر ‎2030 المناسبة لتلاميذ الصف السادس الابتدائي 2) قائمة ببعض مهارات الفهم العميق المناسبة لتلاميذ الصف السادس الابتدائي. ‏3) كتيب التلميذ معد في ضوء استراتيجية التنمية المستدامة رؤية مصر ‎2030. 4) دليل المعلم لتدريس وحدة: "البيئة الصحراوية" لتلاميذ الصف السادس الابتدائي. ب) أدوات البحث، وتمثلت في: ‎1) اختبار مهارات الفهم العميق، ومفتاح تصحيحه. 2) مقياس الدافعية نحو التعلم، ومفتاح تصحيحه. أهم نتائج البحث: تفوق تلاميذ المجموعة التجريبية على تلاميذ المجموعة الضابطة. Egypt has signed the sustainable development plan at the United Nations headquarters. Therefore, it was imperative to draft a sustainable development strategy in Egypt, which caters for the growth requirements, considers the rights of future generations up to 2030 and articulates the basic features of the new Egypt. The Strategy includes twelve themes: education, innovation, knowledge and scientific research, social justice, transparency and efficiency of government institutions, economic development, urban development, energy, culture, environment, internal policy, national security and foreign policy and health. Accordingly, there is a dire need to develop the deep understanding and motivation for learning by including Egypt’s 2030 Vision in the social studies curriculum of primary stage pupils. This need is dictated by the requirements of the nature of contemporary world and aspirations of the Egyptian society, which seeks progress. Pupils employing deep understanding in learning attempt to extract meanings from the topics of social studies unit they learn. Moreover, they will not accept any topics without a critical and distinct examination. Research tools and materials: a) Learning materials: 1) A list of programs and projects of the sustainable development strategy, Egypt’s 2030 Vision appropriate for primary six pupils. 2) A list of certain deep understanding skills appropriate for primary six pupils. 3) Pupil’s booklet prepared in light of the sustainable development strategy, Egypt’s 2030 Vision. 4) Teacher’s guide for teaching the unit “desert environment” for primary six pupils. B) Research tools: 1) Deep understanding skills test and answer key. 2) Motivation for learning scale and answer key. Main Results: The experimental group pupils over perform the control group pupils. (Published abstract)
