هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى تقييم فعالية نموذج سلم التقدير (RSM) في تدريج مفردات مقياس بيك للإكتئاب، والذي يعد أحد أكثر أدوات قياس الإكتئاب شيوعا. إعتمد الباحث على نظرية الإستجابة للمفردة (IRT) لتحليل بيانات جمعت من عينة مكونة من 964 طالبا جامعيا. وأظهرت النتائج أن نموذج سلم التقدير مناسب لتحليل بيانات المقياس، حيث أتاح تقدير صعوبة كل بند ومستوى الإكتئاب لكل فرد، كما أكد إستقلالية القياس عن صعوبة المفردات وقدرات الأفراد. وتوصلت الدراسة إلى أن نموذج سلم التقدير أداة فعالة في تدريج مقياس بيك للإكتئاب، مما يفتح المجال لتحسين وسائل تشخيص وعلاج الإكتئاب. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the rating scale model (RSM) in calibration the Beck Depression Scale items, which is one of the most common depression measurement tools. The researcher relied on item response theory (IRT) to analyze data collected from a sample of 964 university students. The results showed that the rating scale model is suitable for analyzing scale data, as it allowed estimating the difficulty of each item and the level of depression for each participant, and it also confirmed the independence of the measurement from Item difficulty and individuals’ abilities. The study concluded that the rating scale model is an effective tool in calibration the Beck Depression Scale, which opens the way for improving the means of diagnosing and treating depression.
