هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على واقع بحوث التربية العلمية في ضوء المجلات العالمية، بهدف الوقوف على طبيعة تلك البحوث، ومجالات إهتماماتها، وذلك بإستخدام المنهج الوصفي من خلال تحليل المحتوى، وتضمنت عينة البحث (165) بحث منشور في مجلتين عالميتين: Journal of Science Education and Technology ،Research in Science Education خلال الفترة (2019-2023)، تم تحليل تلك الدراسات والبحوث ضمن أربعة أبعاد وهي: (منهج البحث، المجالات العلمية، أدوات البحث، أساليب البحث)، وقد أظهرت النتائج أن المنهج الوصفي هو أكثر المناهج استخداما، أما أكثر المجالات العلمية تناولاً فكانت: تكنولوجيا التعليم ويليها المعلم ويليها مشروعات STEM والتصاميم ، وبالنسبة لأداة البحث فكانت الإستبانة الأعلى إستخدام ويليها الملاحظة، وكان الأسلوب الكمي هو الأعلى إستخدام في أساليب البحث، وقدمت الدراسة بعض التوصيات ومنها: تشجيع الباحثين في مجال التربية العلمية على تناول الموضوعات البحثية التي تفتقر إلى كثير من المعلومات عنها مثل: التواصل اثناء التعلم، الرسومات البيانية في التعليم، مهارات الطلبة. The study aimed to investigate the state of science education research in international journals, with the objective of understanding the nature of such research and its areas of interest. The study utilized a descriptive approach through content analysis. The research sample consisted of 165 published studies from two international journals, namely the Journal of Science Education and Technology and Research in science education, during the period from 2019 to 2023. These studies were analyzed across four dimensions: research methodology, scientific domains, research instruments, and research methods. The results revealed that the descriptive approach was the most commonly used methodology. The most prevalent scientific domains were educational technology, followed by teachers, STEM projects, and designs. Survey instruments were the most frequently used, followed by observations. Quantitative methods were the predominant research methods employed. The study provided recommendations, including encouraging researchers in the field of science education to address research topics that lack sufficient information, such as communication during learning, graphical representations in education, and student skills.
