تسعى هذه الدراسة إلى معالجة إشكالية محورية وأساسية، إذ يتعلق الأمر بمحاولة تحديد إلى أي حد يمكن لتكنولوجيا التعليم أن تسهم في تجويد الممارسة التعليمية، وهذا لن يتأتى إلا من خلال: تحديد مفهوم تكنولوجيا التعليم ومراحل تطوره، مرورا بمجاله كعلم مع إبراز مكوناته؛ تحديد المصطلحات المتداخلة مع تكنولوجيا التعليم من قبيل؛ تقنيات التعليم والوسائل التعليمية؛ إبراز أهم الخصائص والحوامل الأساسية المكونة لتكنولوجيا التعليم؛ تقديم بعض النظريات الحديثة التي يعتمد عليها التعليم الإلكتروني. ولتحقيق هذه الأهداف، تم الاعتماد على المنهج الوصفي التحليلي الذي يُعد من أنسب المناهج انسجاما مع طبيعة المشكلة التي تتم دراستها. This study seeks to address a pivotal and fundamental problem, as it is about trying to determine to what extent educational technology can contribute to the improvement of educational practice, and this will only come through: 1) Defining the concept of educational technology and its stages of development, passing through its field as a science while highlighting its components. 2) Terminology overlaps with educational technology, such as: educational technologies and teaching aids. 3) Highlighting the most important characteristics and supports of educational technology: Presenting some modern theories on which e-learning depends. To achieve these goals, the analytical descriptive approach was relied upon, which is considered one of the most appropriate methods that are in line with the nature of the problem under study.
