يشهد المجتمع اللبناني منذ عام 2019 سلسلة من الأحداث السياسية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية، وحتى الطبية البارزة. بدأت هذه السلسلة بانتفاضة تشرين الأول (أكتوبر) 2019، تلاها انهيار اقتصادي ومالي غير مسبوق، تزامن مع اجتياح فيروس كورونا، ثم تُوِّجت تلك الأحداث بانفجار مرفأ بيروت في آب (أغسطس) 2020، الذي دمّر نصف العاصمة بيروت. يعالج هذا البحث أثر هذه الأحداث المجتمعية في نتاج الطلاب الأكاديمي في العلوم الاجتماعية في الجامعة اللبنانية منذ التسعينيات وحتى عام 2023؛ فيستعرض في هذا الإطار موضوعات أطروحات الدكتوراه وعناوينها التي قدّمها طلاب العلوم الاجتماعية في كلٍّ من معهد العلوم الاجتماعية والمعهد العالي للدكتوراه في الآداب والعلوم الإنسانية والاجتماعية خلال تلك المدة. Since 2019, Lebanese society has witnessed a series of significant political, economic, social, and even medical events. This sequence began with the October 2019 uprising, followed by an unprecedented economic and financial collapse that coincided with the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, and was later crowned by the Beirut Port explosion in August 2020, which destroyed half of the capital city. This study examines the impact of these societal events on the academic output of social sciences students at the Lebanese University from the 1990s to 2023. It explores, in this context, the topics and titles of doctoral dissertations submitted by social sciences students at both the Institute of Social Sciences and the Doctoral School of Letters, Humanities, and Social Sciences during that period.
