تهدف الدراسة التعرف إلى فعالية برنامج تدريبي للتأهيل المهني لتنمية الاستقلالية المهنية والقدرة على تحديد المستقبل المهني لدى طلبة الثالث الثانوي من ذوي الإعاقة العقلية البسيطة في منطقة تبوك. استخدمت الدراسة المنهج شبه التجريبي على عينة الدراسة، وتكونت من (14) طالبا من طلاب الثالث الثانوي من ذوي الإعاقة العقلية البسيطة، والذين تم اختيارهم بالطريقة القصدية في ضوء مقياس الذكاء. كما استخدمت الدراسة مقياسين محوسبين: مقياس الاستقلالية المهنية ومقياس القدرة على تحديد المستقبل المهني. أظهرت النتائج وجود فروقات ذات دلالة إحصائية بين رتب متوسطات درجات الأفراد ذوي الإعاقة العقلية على مقياس الاستقلالية المهنية، ومقياس القدرة على تحديد المستقبل المهني، لصالح المجموعة التجريبية التي تعرضت لبرنامج التأهيل المهني، كما أظهرت النتائج عدم وجود فروقات ذات دلالة إحصائية بين رتب متوسطات درجات الأفراد على القياسين البعدي والتتبعي على مقياس الاستقلالية المهنية ومقياس القدرة على تحديد المستقبل المهني، أي أن فاعلية البرامج المهنية ما زالت ملموسة مع مرور الزمن. توصي الدراسة بضرورة استحداث المهن بشكل دوري بحسب مستجدات عالم المهن وسوق العمل لفئة ذوي الإعاقة العقلية البسيطة. This study aims to recognize the effectiveness of the professional rehabilitation training program in developing independent future career decision-making abilities among third-secondary school students with mild mental disabilities in Tabuk. Method: The method used in this study involved 14 third secondary school students with mild mental disabilities, selected through a non-random method based on the IQ scale. The quasi-experimental method was employed. Additionally, two computerized scales were used: the independent future career choice scale and the future career decision ability scale. The study results show statistical significance between the average grades of mentally disabled individuals according to the independent future career choice scale and future career decision ability scale, favoring the experimental group that participated in the professional rehabilitation training program. The results also indicate no statistical differences between the average grades of individuals in the post and follow up measurements of the independent future career choice scale and future career decision ability scale. This suggests that the effectiveness of the training programs is enduring and lifelong. The study highlights the necessity of creating new professions on a regular basis, aligned with developments in professions and the labor market, to better accommodate individuals with mild mental disabilities.
