هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى تقصي فعالية استخدام نموذج قائم على النظرية البنائية في تنمية اتجاهات طالبات الصف التاسع الأساسي نحو مبحث اللغة الإنجليزية في الأردن. واستخدمت الباحثة المنهج التجريبي، حيث أعدت مقياسا لاتجاهات الطالبات نحو مبحث اللغة الإنجليزية لدى عينة تكونت من (80) طالبة مقسمة على مجموعتين متساويتين (ضابطة (40)- تجريبية (40). أظهرت النتائج وجود أثر لاستخدام نموذج قائم على النظرية البنائية في تنمية اتجاهات إيجابية نحو محتوى مبحث اللغة الإنجليزية لدى طالبات الصف التاسع الأساسي، حيث حصلت طالبات العينة التجريبية على متوسط كلي (63.05)؛ في مقابل حصول طالبات العينة الضابطة على متوسط كلي (37.05)؛. وأظهرت نتائج حجم الأثر على مربع إيتا حيث بلغ (0.298)، وهذا يفسر ما نسبته (29%) من التباين في درجات الطالبات يعود لاستخدام نموذج قائم على النظرية البنائية، واستنادا للنتائج أوصت الباحثة بضرورة تبني إستخدام نموذج قائم على النظرية البنائية في تدريس مبحث اللغة الإنجليزية، لما له من أثر إيجابي في تنمية اتجاهات طالبات الصف التاسع الأساسي نحو مبحث اللغة الإنجليزية. This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of using a model based on the constructivist theory in developing the attitudes of ninth grade students towards English language in Jordan. The researcher used the quasi-experimental approach, where she prepared a measure of the students’ attitudes towards the English language in a sample of (80) students divided into two equal groups (control (40) and experimental (40). The results showed an effect of using a model based on constructivist theory in developing Positive attitudes towards the content of the English language subject among the ninth graders, where the experimental sample students got a total average of (63.05), while the control sample students got a total average of 37.05, and the results showed the effect size on the Eta square, which amounted to (0.298). and this explains (29%),Of the discrepancy in the students’ scores is due to the use of a model based on constructivist theory, and based on the results, the researcher recommended the necessity of adopting a model based on constructivist theory in teaching English language, because of its positive impact ondeveloping the ninth grade students’ attitudes towards the English language subject.
