يهدف هذا البحث إلى اكتشاف المشكلات التي تواجه طلاب منصات التعلم واسعة الانتشار المعروفة باسم MOOC في عملية التواصل بين الطلاب أنفسهم وكذلك معلميهم. كما يسعى الباحثون لمعرفة مدى مساهمة شبكات التواصل الاجتماعي في دعم التواصل بين المعلم والمتعلمين من خلال توظيف هذا النوع من المنصات. كما نهج الباحثون في هذا البحث المنهج الوصفي التطويري لما وجدوه من ملائمة لأغراض هذا البحث وطبيعته وذلك من خلال تطبيق استبانة أعدها الباحثون لهذا الغرض وقد تم توزيعها على عينة الدراسة القصدية بمعامل ثبات 0.646. وقد تكونت العينة من عشرة من الخبراء والمختصين في مجال التعلم عن بعد وتصميم التعليم. وقد خلصت الدراسة بأن أكثر من 21 % من عينة الدراسة يستخدمون الفيس بوك في عملية التواصل مع الآخرين وأن 01% من أفراد العينة لا يشعرون براحة بالتعامل مع المعلمين عند استخدامهم ل MOOCs. وأوصت بأهمية توظيف وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي كأدوات مساندة لل MOOCs كذلك أكدت على اهتمام المعلمين براحة المتعلمين ونفسياتهم ذلك لأن اهتمام المعلم بالمتعلم يؤدي إلى زيادة رغبته في تلقي العلم. This research aims to discover the problems that students of the Massive Open Online Courses known as MOOC face in the process of communication between the students themselves as well as their teachers. The researchers also seek to know the extent to which social networks contribute to supporting communication between the teacher and learners through the use of this type of platforms. The researchers also approached the descriptive and developmental approach in this research because they found its suitability for the purposes of this research and its nature, through the application of a questionnaire prepared by the researchers for this purpose, and it was distributed to the intended study sample with a stability coefficient of 0.646. The sample consisted of ten experts and specialists in the field of distance learning and instructional design. The study concluded that more than 21% of the study sample use Facebook in the process of communicating with others, and that 01% of the sample do not feel comfortable dealing with teachers when they use MOOCs. She recommended the importance of employing social media as supportive tools for MOOCs, as well as stressing the teachers' interest in learners' comfort and psyche, because the teacher's interest in the learner leads to an increase in his desire to receive knowledge.
