This study aimed to know the degree of crisis management practice among government secondary school principals in the First Zarqa education directorate and to reveal its relationship to providing a safe school environment from the point of view of teachers. In this study, the researcher used the descriptive, correlational approach. The researcher developed two questionnaires (crisis management, safe school environment) as tools to achieve the objectives of the study. The study sample consisted of (255) male and female teachers in public schools in the First Zarqa Education Directorate for the academic year 2022-2023 AD, who were selected by a simple random method. The results of the study indicated that the degree of practicing crisis management among public secondary school principals was moderate, while the degree of principals providing a safe school environment was high. The results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences in the teachers’ ratings of crisis management and providing a safe school environment among principals. This is due to the variables of gender and academic qualification, and there are no statistically significant differences in teachers’ estimates of the degree to which principals provide a safe school environment due to the variable of experience. The results also indicated that there are statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α=1415) in the degree of principals’ management of crises due to years of experience in favor of those with experience of 10 years or more, and the presence of a positive and statistically significant correlation at the level of significance (α=0.01) between the two degrees of crisis management and providing a safe school environment. The researcher recommended: holding training courses to raise the level of crisis management among school principals. (Published abstract)
