هدفت الدراسة للتعرف على وعي معلمي ومعلمات العلوم بالبرنامج الدولي لتقييم الطلبة (PISA) واتجاهاتهم نحوه، والكشف عن الفروق في درجة الوعي والاتجاه تعزى لمتغير الجنس:(معلم-معلمة)، واستخدم الباحث المنهج الوصفي المسحي، وتكوّنت عينة الدراسة من جميع معلمي ومعلمات العلوم الطبيعية في التخصصات المختلفة في المدارس الحكومية النهارية للبنين والبنات بمراحلها الثلاث(ابتدائي، متوسط، ثانوي)التابعة لإدارة التعليم بمحافظة الرس للعام الدراسي 1443هـ وعددهم(348) منهم (163) معلماً و(185) معلمةً، ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة وجمع البيانات المتعلقة بها استخدام الباحث مقياسين هما؛ مقياس وعي معلمي ومعلمات العلوم بالبرنامج الدولي لتقييم الطلبة (PISA)، ومقياس اتجاهات معلمي ومعلمات العلوم نحو البرنامج الدولي لتقييم الطلبة (PISA) وتم التحقق من صدقها وثباتها، وأظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن وعي معلمي ومعلمات العلوم بالبرنامج الدولي لتقييم الطلبة (PISA) بشكل عام كان بدرجة متوسطة في كل المحاور الأربعة التي تضمنها مقياس الوعي، وجاء وعيهم في معظم الفقرات المتضمنة في تلك المحاور بدرجة متوسطة؛ عدا القليل منها كان بدرجة ضعيفة أو درجة كبيرة، كما أن اتجاهات معلمي ومعلمات العلوم نحو البرنامج الدولي لتقييم الطلبة (PISA) بشكل عام كانت إيجابية، وأظهرت النتائج أنه توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين عينة الدراسة في درجة وعيهم بالبرنامج الدولي لتقييم الطلبة (PISA) تعود لاختلاف نوع العينة وكانت الفروق لصالح عينة معلمات العلوم، ولا توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين عينة الدراسة في اتجاههم نحو البرنامج تعود لاختلاف نوع العينة. This study aimed at identifying the level of male and female science teachers’ awareness of the Program for International Student Assessment (PISA)and their attitudes towards it. Moreover, it attempted revealing the differences in the degree of awareness and attitude due to the gender variable:(male-female).The researcher used the descriptive survey methodology and the study sample consisted of all male and female teachers of natural sciences of different specializations, who work in government day schools, whether for boys and girls in the three educational stages (primary, intermediate, and secondary), which are affiliated to the Department of Education in Al-Rass Governorate during the academic year(1443)AH. In total, the number of study sample members was (348) ;(163) male teachers and (185) female teachers. In order to achieve the objectives of the study and collect the relevant data; the researcher used two scales: the scale of male and female science teachers’ awareness of the (PISA)and the scale of male and female science teachers’ attitudes towards the (PISA), and their validity and reliability were verified. The results of the study demonstrated that the level of male and female science teachers’ awareness of the (PISA), in general, was in a moderate degree in all four dimensions of the awareness scale. Their awareness came in a moderate degree in most of the items included in those dimensions. However, their score in a few items came in a weak or a large degree. As for the attitudes of male and female science teachers’ attitudes towards the (PISA),they were positive in general. Further, the results illustrated that there are statistically significant differences between study sample members in the degree of their awareness of the (PISA)due to gender differences, in favor of female science teachers. Finally, there were no statistically significant differences between study sample members in terms of their attitudes towards the program due to gender differences. (Published abstract)
