هدفت الدراسة إلى التحقق من فعالية برنامج لتحسين المهارات الاجتماعية والحركية ودعم الذات وأثره في تحسين جودة الحياة لدى الأطفال ذوى الإعاقة الفكرية البسيطة بالمدينة المنورة. وتكونت عينة الدراسة من عشرين طفلاً من ذوي الإعاقة الفكرية والذين تراوحت أعمارهم الزمنية ما بين (7–14) سنوات، ونسبة ذكاؤهم من "50–70"، تم تقسيمهم إلى مجموعتين تجريبية وضابطة كل مجموعة عشرة أطفال. وقد استخدم الباحث (مقياس المهارات الاجتماعية للأطفال ذوى الإعاقة الفكرية، مقياس المهارات الحركية للأطفال ذوى الإعاقة الفكرية، مقياس دعم الذات للأطفال ذوى الإعاقة الفكرية، مقياس جودة الحياة للأطفال ذوى الإعاقة الفكرية). وقد استخدم الباحث المنهج شبة التجريبي التحليلي، والأساليب الإحصائية اللابارمترية التالية (اختبار مان ويتنى، اختبار ويلكوكسون للعينات المتربطة الصغيرة)، وأشارت أهم نتائج الدراسة إلى أنه توجد علاقة ارتباطية دالة بين متوسطات درجات أفراد العينة على أبعاد مقاييس (المهارات الحركية/المهارات الاجتماعية/دعم الذات) على أبعاد مقياس جودة الحياة، توجد فروق دالة إحصائياً بين متوسطي رتب درجات أطفال المجموعة التجريبية في القياسين القبلي والبعدي على أدوات الدراسة لصالح القياس البعدي، وتوجد فروق دالة إحصائياً بين متوسطي رتب درجات أطفال المجموعة التجريبية والمجموعة الضابطة في القياس البعدي على أدوات الدراسة لصالح المجموعة التجريبية، لا توجد فروق دالة إحصائياً بين متوسطي رتب درجات أطفال المجموعة التجريبية في القياسين البعدي والتتبعي على أدوات الدراسة. The current study aimed to verify the effectiveness of a program to improve social and motor skills and self-support and its impact on enhancing quality of life for children with intellectual disabilities. The sample consisted of (20) educable children with intellectual disabilities aged (7-14) years with IQ (50-70) divided as two groups experimental and control one (10) children for each group. The researcher used social skills scale for children with intellectual disabilities, motor skills scale for children with intellectual disabilities, Rosberg self support scale, and quality of life scale for children with intellectual disabilities. The researcher used the analytical quasi-experimental approach and the following statistical methods: Mann Whitney test, and Wilcoxon test for small, correlated samples. The most important results showed that there is a significant correlation relation between the mean scores of the study sample on the dimensions of its measures (motor skills, social skills, and self-support) with the dimensions of quality of life scale. There are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of experimental group children in pre and post assessments on the current study tools favoring post assessment. There are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of experimental group and control group children in post assessment on the study tools favoring experimental group. There were no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental group children in post and follow-up assessments on the study tools. (Published abstract)
