هدفت الدراسة إلى تعرف دور العبء الأكاديمي والإداري في ضعف كفاءة البحث العلمي لدى أعضاء هيئة التدريس في الجامعات الأردنية الخاصة. اعتمدت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي المسحي، تألفت عينة الدراسة من (150) عضو هيئة تدريس، ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة تم تطوير استبانة تكونت من (50) فقرة موزعة على خمسة مجالات، وتم التأكد من صدقها وثباتها، أظهرت النتائج، أن دور العبء الأكاديمي والإداري في ضعف كفاءة البحث العلمي لدى أعضاء هيئة التدريس في الجامعات الخاصة الأردنية كان ضمن الوسط للكل ولجميع المجالات، وأظهرت النتائج وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في تقديرات أفراد عينة الدراسة لدور العبء الأكاديمي والإداري في ضعف كفاءة الحث العلمي في الجامعات الأردنية الخاصة تعزى لمتغير الخبرة لصالح أصحاب الخبرة من 10 سنوات فأقل، وعدم وجود فروق تعزى للتخصص العلمي والجنس، وخرجت الدراسة بعدة توصيات من بينها: إلزام الجامعات الخاصة بإعطاء اهتمام أكثر للبحث العلمي لتنشيط أعضاء هيئة التدريس، مع إصدار تشريعات تنظم ذلك، كما قدمت الدراسة عدداً من المقترحات لدراسات مستقبلية. The study aimed to identify the academic and administrative load and its role in weakening of the efficiency of scientific research among faculty members in Jordanian private universities. The analytical descriptive methodology was used for collecting data. The sample of the study consisted of (150) faculty members. The researcher developed a questionnaire with (50) items were distributed into five domains; the validity and reliability of the questionnaire were assured. The findings of the study showed that the role of instructional and administrative load in weakening of the efficiency of scientific research among faculty members in Jordanian private universities was in a moderate degree. The results also showed that there was a statically significant difference in the role of academic and administrative load in weakening of the efficiency of scientific research among faculty members in Jordanian private universities due to experience variable in favor of (10 years and below). On the other hand, sex variable has no effect on that role. This study recommended that private universities should pay more attention to scientific research because it is the main tool for activate faculty members. (Published abstract)
