The study aimed to identify the reality of strategic planning in public secondary schools and its relationship to risk management and educational crises in Jordan. The researcher used the descriptive correlative survey method, and the tool consisted of a questionnaire consisting of (32) items whose validity and reliability were confirmed, as it was distributed to a stratified random sample of (432) male and female employees in government secondary schools, University Brigade/the capital Amman, for the academic year 2020-2021. The results showed the prevailing strategic planning methods in the following descending order (SWOT) analysis, critical questions, contingency plans, preparing scenarios), and with regard to the ability to manage educational crises, it appeared in the containment and response stage with a good degree, and the recovery stage came in second place with a good degree, followed by ranked. The third is early warning in a medium degree, then preparedness and prevention in a medium degree. The results also showed a strong positive relationship to strategic planning and the ability to successfully manage risks. The results showed that there were no statistically significant differences at the function level (α≤0.05) due to the gender variable in the methods of strategic planning for the dimensions (critical questions, SWOT analysis, preparing scenarios) males, and there were statistically significant differences at the level of the function (α≤0.05) due to the variable of experience. The researcher recommends the implementation of training programs to raise the capacity of leaders in strategic planning, and the establishment of an operations room in each directorate specialized in managing educational crises, as well as the establishment of teams to build strategic plans and crisis management in all schools, led by the school director and the membership of some teachers, the social counselor and the school health official.
