استهدفت الدراسة استقصاء توقعات الدور لدى المشرف والباحثة في عملية الإشراف البحثي في الأقسام التربوية بكلية العلوم الاجتماعية بجامعة الإمام محمد بن سعود الإسلامية، ومقارنة توقعات الدور بين كل من المشرف والباحثة، والوصول إلى الصورة النهائية للأدوار المجمع عليها في عملية الإشراف البحثي في الأقسام التربوية بكلية العلوم الاجتماعية بجامعة الإمام محمد بن سعود الإسلامية. كما اشتملت على الإطار النظري الذي تناولت فيه عملية الإشراف البحثي من حيث المفهوم والأهداف، وتناولت أدوار المشرف والباحثة في عملية الإشراف البحثي. كما اشتملت على الإطار الميداني متضمناً مجتمع الدراسة الميدانية، وعينتها، وأداتها حيث تم تبني الأداة التي استخدمها موسيس (Moses,1985). مع التصرف من قبل الباحثة في بعض العبارات التي تتفق وبيئة الدراسة الحالية وتحكيم الأداة، وأسلوب المعالجة الإحصائية. وأخيراً اشتملت الدراسة على ما توصلت عليه من نتائج واختتمت الدراسة بالتوصية بضرورة تبني الجامعات السعودية ممثلة بالمعنيين في الدراسات العليا لقائمة أدوار عملية الإشراف البحثي التي أجمع عليها كل من المشرفين والباحثات والتعريف بها لدى جميع ذوي العلاقة بالدراسات العليا من المشرفين والطالبات وتوعيتهم بأدوارهم المستقلة والمشتركة، وتضمين هذه الأدوار في لوائح داخلية في الأقسام التي تنفذ برامج الدراسات العليا. The study aimed to discover theoretical basics of research supervision process and investigating expectations of role of the supervisor and researcher in supervision process in education departments at faculty of social sciences at Imam Mohammed Ben Saud Islamic university , as well as comparison of role expectations between the supervisor and the researcher and reaching the final image of agreed roles in supervision process in education departments at faculty of social sciences at Imam Mohammed Ben Saud Islamic university. It also includes theoretical framework in which discusses research supervision in terms of concept and objectives besides research supervision process theories and role of the supervisor and the researcher in research supervision process as well as global experiments in research supervision process and problems of research supervision process. the study also discusses field framework including field study community, related sample, and tool, where tool used by Moses has been adopted (Moses 1985). and the researcher has acted in some terms that are in line with current research environment, tool controls and statistical treatment style. Finally study includes realized results and ended in recommendation that Saudi university represented by persons concerned in postgraduates studies regarding roles list of research supervision process that are unanimously agreed by all supervisors and researchers besides introducing it to all people related to postgraduate studies such as supervisors and students as well lightening student about their independent and common roles and including these roles in internal regulations at departments that execute postgraduate studies program.
