هدفت الدراسة إلى تحديد درجتي الأهمية والممارسة للكفايات القيادية لدى وكيلات الأقسام العلمية ببعض الجامعات الناشئة. واستخدمت الباحثة المنهج الوصفي بأسلوبه المسحي، وتم تصميم استبانة تقيس درجتي الأهمية والممارسة للكفايات القيادية، وتضمنت خمسة أبعاد (الكفايات الشخصية، كفايات التخطيط، كفايات صنع واتخاذ القرار، كفايات التحفيز، كفايات الاتصال الاداري) وتم تطبيق أداة الدراسة بعد التأكد من صدقها وثباتها على (4) جامعات ناشئة هي: جامعة الامير سطام، جامعة جازان، جامعة المجمعة، جامعة تبوك) وشملت الدراسة عينة عشوائية بسيطة تمثل 20% من المجتمع الأصلي للدراسة (1427) ومن أبرز النتائج: تأكيد عينة الدراسة بدرجة موافقة عالية على الأهمية والممارسة لجميع أبعاد الكفايات، واحتلت الكفايات الشخصية المرتبة الأولى في الأهمية والممارسة، وفي المرتبة الرابعة والخامسة على التوالي كفايات صنع واتخاذ القرار وكفايات التخطيط، في حين اختلفت اراء عينة الدراسة حول كفايات التحفيز وكفايات الاتصال الاداري حيث جاءت كفايات التحفيز في المرتبة الثانية وكفايات الاتصال الاداري في المرتبة الثالثة من حيث درجة الأهمية، في حين احتلت كفايات التحفيز المرتبة الثالثة وكفايات الاتصال الاداري المرتبة الثانية من حيث درجة الممارسة. كما أسفرت النتائج عن وجود فروق حول درجة الممارسة تعزى لمتغيري الدرجة العلمية والجامعة. وبناءً عليه قدمت الدراسة عدة توصيات يمكن أن تسهم في تطوير أداء وكيلات الأقسام العلمية. This study aims to determine the degrees of importance and practice of leadership competencies among female vice-deans of the scientific departments in some emerging universities. The researcher uses the descriptive survey method. A questionnaire was designed to measure the degrees of importance and practice of leadership competencies that includes five dimensions (personal competencies, planning competencies, decision-making competencies, motivational competencies and administrative communicational competencies). The study tool was applied after confirmation of its validity and reliability on 4 emerging universities: Prince Satam University, Jazan University, Almajma’a University and Tabuk University. The study was applied on a random simple sample which represents 20% of the original study community (1427). Results: The study sample confirmed a high degree of approval on the importance and practice of all competencies dimensions. The personal competencies dimension ranks first in importance and practice. Decision-making competencies and planning competencies comes in the fourth and fifth place respectively. While sample of the study have varied opinion about the motivational competencies and administrative communication competencies. Motivational competencies comes in the second place and administrative communicational competencies in the third as the importance degree, whereas the motivation competencies comes in the third place and administrative communicational competencies in the second in the practice degree. The results also show differences regarding the degree of practice due to the variables of scientific degree and university. Accordingly, the study has made several recommendations that could develop the performance of female vice-deans of the scientific departments. (Published abstract)
