تعد خدمة المجتمع من أهم وظائف الجامعة لتنمية المجتمع فالعلاقة بين الجامعة والمجتمع علاقة وثيقة، ومن وظائف الجامعة التعليم وإعداد أيدي كفؤة والبحث العلمي وخدمة المجتمع، وإن هدف التنمية الاجتماعية هو تحقيق الظروف للنمو الاقتصادي أو تهيئة المناخ المادي ومن هنا أبرز الأهداف التي يسعى البحث لتحقيقها هو دور الجامعة في خدمة المجتمع للعيش في حياة أفضل وتحقيق مستوى دخل مرتفع من خلال التنمية الاقتصادية. اتبعت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي لأن هذا المنهج يهتم بدراسة الظواهر الاجتماعية والإدارية خاصة فيما يتعلق بأهمية التعليم في النهوض بالاقتصاد. ومن أهم نتائج وتوصيات الدراسة أن التعليم عنصر مهم في زيادة النمو الاقتصادي ودفع عجلة التنمية الاقتصادية. أوصت الدراسة على التربويين والمختصين الأخذ بتجارب كوريا الجنوبية كنماذج باعتبار أن المعلم أساس التنمية الاقتصادية. Community service is one of the most important functions of the university for community development. The relationship between the university and society is a close relationship, and one of the university’s functions is education, preparing competent personnel, scientific research, and community service. The goal of social development is to achieve the conditions for economic growth or create a physical climate. Hence, the most prominent goals that research seeks to achieve is the role The university serves the community to live a better life and achieve a high level of income through economic development. The study followed the descriptive approach because this approach is concerned with studying social and administrative phenomena, especially with regard to the importance of education in advancing the economy. One of the most important results and recommendations of the study is that education is an important element in increasing economic growth and advancing economic development. The study recommended that educators and specialists take the experiences of South Korea as models, considering that the teacher is the basis of economic development. (Published abstract)
