يرمي البحث التعرف على: 1) مستوى التفكير المستقبلي عند طلبة أقسام اللغة العربية في كليات التربية. 2) الفرق في التفكير المستقبلي تبعا لمتغير النوع الاجتماعي (ذكور، إناث). تحقيقا لمرمي البحث، اتبع الباحثان إجراءات المنهج الوصفي. حدد مجتمع البحث بطلبة أقسام اللغة العربية في كليات التربية الدراسات الصباحية في محافظة بغداد، واختار الباحثان عينة البحث عشوائيا، إذ تكونت من (73) طالبا وطالبة من المرحلة الأولى قسم اللغة العربية في كلية التربية ابن رشد للعلوم الإنسانية. أعد الباحثان مقياسا للتفكير المستقبلي تكون من (30) فقرة، وتحققا من صدق المقياس وثباته واستخرجا القوة التمييزية ومعاملات صعوبة فقراته، وتم عرضه على مجموعة من المحكمين والخبراء، وبعدها طبقا المقياس بعديا على طلبة عينة البحث، وحصل الباحثان على النتيجة الآتية: 1) ضعف مستوى التفكير المستقبلي عند طلبة قسم اللغة العربية في كلية التربية. 2) لا يوجد فروق احصائية في التفكير المستقبلي تبعا لمتغير النوع الاجتماعي (ذكور، إناث). The research aims to: 1) Detecting the level of future thinking among students of the Arabic language departments in the faculties of education. 2) The difference in future thinking according to the gender variable (male, female). In order to achieve the objectives of the research, the researchers followed the procedures of the descriptive approach, as it is the appropriate approach for that, and the current research community was determined by the students of the Arabic language departments in the Colleges of Education, morning studies in Baghdad, and the researchers chose the research sample randomly, as it consisted of (73) male and female students from the first stage, the department of Arabic language in the Faculty of Education Ibn Rushd - for Human Sciences, the two researchers prepared a scale for future thinking consisting of (30) items, and verified the validity and stability of the scale and extracted the discriminatory power and coefficients of the difficulty of its paragraphs, and it was presented to a group of arbitrators and experts, and then the scale was applied dimensionally to the students of the research sample. The two researchers obtained the following result: 1) The weakness of the level of future thinking among the students of the department of Arabic Language in the College of Education. 2) There are no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05) in future thinking according to the gender variable (males, females).
