يهدف البحث إلى بناء قائمة لمجالات البحث الرئيسة والفرعية ذات الأولوية في مجال تعليم العربية وذلك عبر إجابة الخبراء عن سؤال رئيس هو: ما أولويات البحث في مجال تعليم العربية للناطقين بغيرها؟ استخدم البحث أداتين: هما المقابلة الشخصية واستبانة مقننة بعنوان "قائمة الأولويات البحثية في مجال تعليم العربية للناطقين بغيرها" وقد أبدى (71) من خبراء المجال ممن يحملون درجة الدكتوراه آراءهم حول الأولويات البحثية المطلوبة. من أهم النتائج التي توصل البحث إليها قائمتان: قائمة المجالات البحثية الرئيسة المكونة من 14 مجالا، وقائمة المجالات البحثية الفرعية المكونة من 82 مجالا. ويتوقع أن تفيد هاتان القائمتان أقسام اللغة العربية وبرامج الدراسات العليا والجامعات بشكل عام والباحثين بشكل خاص في اختيار موضوعاتهم البحثية في مجال تعليم العربية لغة ثانية/ أجنبية. This research aims to build a list of the main and sub-priority areas of research in the field of teaching Arabic through getting answers from the experts to a main question: What are the priorities of research in the field of teaching Arabic as a foreign language? The research used two tools: the personal interview and a standardized questionnaire entitled "List of Research Priorities in the Field of Teaching Arabic as a foreign language". There were seventy-one experts in the field who hold a PhD who have expressed their opinions about the required research priorities; among the most important findings of the research are two lists: a list of the main research fields consisting of fourteen fields, and a list of sub-research areas consisting of eighty-two fields. It is expected that these two lists will benefit the Arabic language departments, graduate studies programs, universities in general, and researchers in particular, in choosing their research topics in the field of teaching Arabic as a foreign language.
