هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على سبل التطوير المهني لمعلمات الهوية الوطنية في المدارس العالمية بمدينة جدة من وجهة نظرهن. والكشف عن بعض سبل التطوير من وجهة نظر هؤلاء المعلمات بالمدارس العالمية بمدينة جدة، وتحديد أهم الصعوبات والمعوقات التي تواجه هؤلاء المعلمات خلال عملية التطوير المهني ولتحقيق ذلك اتبعت الدراسة المنهج النوعي، دراسة الحالة، وجمع البيانات بتطبيق أداة البحث وهي المقابلة الفردية شبه مفتوحة النهاية، وتكون مجتمع الدراسة من معلمات مواد الهوية الوطنية بالمدارس العالمية بمدينة جدة، وكان عدد المشاركات في الدراسة (ست معلمات) تم اختيارهن بطريقة قصدية. وخلصت الدراسة الى أهم النتائج وهي: أن هناك بعض السبل اللازمة لعملية التطوير المهني منها السبل الشخصية والسبل الإدارية ومن أهمها تفعيل دور مواقع التواصل الإلكتروني والحاجة إلى تطوير مهارات اللغة الإنجليزية لدى هؤلاء المعلمات بالإضافة إلى ضرورة تفعيل مجتمعات التعلم المهنية. كما كشفت الدراسة عن بعض الصعوبات التي تواجه عملية التطوير المهني وكان أبرزها ضعف التقنية وضعف فاعلية الدورات التدريبية الموجودة على المواقع التعليمية بالإضافة إلى التحديات المادية وتتمثل في ارتفاع أسعار الدورات التدريبية. وكان من أهم توصيات الدراسة المرتبطة بأهم النتائج هي تفعيل دور مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي الإلكتروني وضرورة تفعيل مجتمعات التعلم المهنية بالإضافة إلى انشاء وحدة بكل إدارة تعليمية لمتابعة وربط وتفعيل مفهوم الهوية الوطنية. The study aimed to identify ways of professional development for the teachers of the national identity in the international schools in Jeddah from their point of view, and revealing some ways of development from the point of view of these teachers and identifying the most important difficulties that these teachers face during the process of professional development. To achieve this, the study followed the qualitative approach, case study, and data collection by applying the research tool, which is the semi open ended individual interview. The study community consisted of teachers of national identity subjects in international schools in Jeddah, and the number of participants in the study was 6 teachers. One of the results of the study in that there are some ways necessary for the process of professional development, including personal ways and administrative ways, the most important of which is activating the role of electronic communication sites and developing English language skills. In the addition to the need to activate professional learning communities. The study also revealed some difficulties facing the process of professional development. The most prominent, of which was the weakness of technology and the weakness of effectiveness of training courses on educational sites, in addition to the financial challenges, which are the high prices of training courses. One of the most important recommendations the study related to the most important results is activating the role of electronic communication sites and the need to activate professional learning communities, in addition to establishing a unit for each educational administration to follow up, link and activate the concept of national identity.
