This study aimed at revealing the level of shyness among the female students of the Faculty of Science and Arts in Rafha at Northern Border University, and whether there are differences between these students in shyness due to the variables of age, marital status and place of residence (Rafha city/ outside Rafha city). The sample size was (201) students. The researcher used a descriptive method and prepared a preliminary data form, also a shyness scale prepared by (Choucair and Al-Karda 2012) was applied after verification of its validity and reliability. The results indicated that shyness prevails in its all dimensions and its overall score which is low. The results also showed that there are no statistically significant differences in all the dimensions of shyness and its overall score, according to the variables of age and place of residence. The results also revealed that there are no statistically significant differences in the overall score of the shyness and in its all dimensions, except the symptoms and cognitive aspects of shyness according to the variable of social status, but there are statistically significant differences in the dimension of symptoms and cognitive aspects between the married and unmarried female students in favor of the married female students.
