Content analysis the social studies book in the first intermediate grade in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia in light of the requirements of intellectual security [Article]
The study aimed to identify the degree of availability of the intellectual security requirements required in the social and national studies curriculum for the intermediate grade. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive analytical approach was followed. The study population consisted of the social and national studies curriculum for the intermediate grade, for the first and second semesters in both. The study tool consisted of a content analysis card, which was built in light of the requirements of intellectual security, which consisted of ( ) requirements divided into six main areas, which are related to: (The correct doctrine and Islamic religion, the relationship of students with others and dealing with them, the development of critical thinking and problem solving of students, the development of good citizenship, the development of dialogue skills among students, the culture of communication, information and media), and the validity and consistency of the study instrument has been verified. Findings of the study were as follows, The requirements of intellectual security included at a very low degree in the social and national studies of the intermediate grade. and The requirements of the correct doctrine and Islamic religion, the relationship of students with others and dealing with them, and the development of critical thinking and problem solving of students, included in the curriculum of social and national studies for the intermediate grade at a low degree. Also The requirements related to the development of good citizenship, development of dialogue skills, and culture of communication, information and media, included in the curriculum of social and national studies for the intermediate grade at a very low degree.
