The study aimed to identify the relationship between meta-cognitive thinking skills and the level of psychological hardiness among a sample of female postgraduate educational students at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, and to find the differences between the averages of metacognitive thinking skills and psychological hardiness, according to the variables (age Marital status, residence, economic level of the family), which were applied to a sample of female students of female postgraduate educational students, whose number reached (226) female students, between the quantitative and qualitative study sample. The study followed the combination method, in the sequential explanatory method, and the researcher used the semi-standardized interview, metrics for meta-cognitive thinking skills, and psychological rigidity, whose psychometric properties were ascertained, The researcher analyzes the quantitative data first using the SPSS program, following the following statistical methods: (arithmetic averages, standard deviations, multidirectional analysis of variance, Schiff test, and correlation coefficient Pearson), followed by the analysis of qualitative data, according to the objective analysis method, The study reached many findings, the most prominent of which is that the level of both metacognitive thinking skills and psychological hardiness were achieved among the study sample with a high degree, and that there is a correlational, positive, and significant statistical relationship between metacognitive thinking skills and psychological hardiness, in addition to the findings of the qualitative study, which were represented in identifying some of the difficulties and the challenges that a female postgraduate educational student may face represented in academic, research, social, and psychological problems. while finding some ways through which the female student can achieve metacognitive thinking skills and psychological hardiness during her academic journey. In light of the findings of the study, the researcher concluded proposing many recommendations and suggested future studies Which can contribute to the development of both Skills of thinking (Meta Cognitive) and psychological hardiness for educationalists, counselors, and female postgraduate students.
