اهتم البحث ببحث طبيعة العلاقة بين التفاؤل الأكاديمي وفعالية الذات الأكاديمية لدى عينة من طلبة جامعة الزقازيق، وكذلك بحث تأثير النوع في كلا منهما، حيث تم إختيار عينة عشوائية من طلاب الجامعة (التربية - التربية النوعية - الطفولة المبكرة - الأداب - التجارة - الهندسة - الصيدلة - الطب البشرى - العلوم) بجامعة الزقازيق. وتكونت من (300) طالب وطالبة، أما العينة النهائية تكونت من (1240) طالب وطالبة. ولجمع البيانات استخدمت الباحثة الأدوات التالية بعد حساب الصدق والثبات لها مقياس التفاؤل الأكاديمي (إعداد الباحثة) ومقياس فعالية الذات الأكاديمية (إعداد الباحثة)، وتم إستخدام مجموعة متنوعة من الأساليب الإحصائية لوصف العينة والتحقق من ثبات وصدق أدوات البحث وتحليل نتائجها، وتمثلت هذه الأساليب في معاملات الإرتباط ،اختبار(ت) t-test للعينات المستقلة. توصلت النتائج إلى وجود علاقة ارتباطية موجبة دالة إحصائيا بين التفاؤل الأكاديمي وفعالية الذات الأكاديمية لدى طلبة جامعة الزقازيق، وإلى عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين الذكور والإناث في التفاؤل الأكاديمي وفعالية الذات الأكاديمية. The research was interested in examining the nature of the relationship between academic optimism and academic self-efficacy among a sample of Zagazig University students, as well as examining the effect of gender in both of them, where a random sample of university students (Education - specific education - early childhood - Arts - commerce - engineering - pharmacy - human medicine - sciences) was chosen at Zagazig University and consisted of (300) male and female students, and the final sample consisted of (1240) male and female students, and to collect the data, the researcher used the following tools after calculating the validity and reliability of them: the academic optimism scale prepared by the researcher and the academic self- efficacy scale prepared by the researcher, and a variety of statistical methods were used to describe the sample and verify the stability of the validity of the research tools and analysis of its results, and these methods were represented in correlation coefficients, t-test for independent samples, and the results concluded that there is a positive correlation between academic optimism and academic self-efficacy among Zagazig University students, and that there are no statistically significant differences between males and females in academic optimism and academic self-efficacy.
