استهدفت الدراسة التعرف على دور الجامعة في تعزي قيم المواطنة الإيجابية لطلابها من وجهة نظر أعضاء هيئة التدريس، والوصول إلى فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى الدلالة (0.05=a) بين المتوسطات لاستجابات العينة حول مدى قيام الجامعة بتعزيز قيم المواطنة الإيجابية لطلابها تعزي إلى متغيري: نوع الجامعة، والكلية، وتقديم مقترحات إجرائية لتفعيل دورها في تعزيز هذه القيم. اعتمدت الدراسة على المنهج الوصفي المسحي، واستخدمت الاستبانة كأداة لتحقيق هدفها. توصلت الدراسة إلى أن أبرز قيم المواطنة الإيجابية التي تسعى الجامعة لتعزيزها لدى طلابها وبدرجة كبيرة هي: ولاء الفرد وانتمائه للوطن، وحبه للوطن والحرص على استقراره وأمنه، ومحاربة التعصب، وأن مدى قيام الجامعة في تعزيز قيم المواطنة الإيجابية لدى طلابها من وجهة نظر أعضاء هيئة التدريس على الاستبانة ككل كان متوسطا، كما وجدت فروق دالة إحصائيا عند مستوى (0.05) بين متوسطات استجابات أفراد العينة حول مدى قيام الجامعة بتعزيز قيم المواطنة الإيجابية لدى طلابها من وجهة نظر أعضاء هيئة التدريس تعزى إلى متغير نوع الجامعة، وأن الفروق لصالح الجامعات الخاصة، كما لم توجد فروق دالة إحصائيا تعزى لمتغير الكلية. This study aimed to identify the role of the university in promoting positive citizenship values for its students from the point of view of faculty members, and to present procedural proposals to activate its role in promoting these values. The study relied on the descriptive survey method and used the questionnaire as a tool to achieve its goal. The study concluded that the most prominent values of positive citizenship that the university seeks to enhance for its students to a large extent were: the individual’s loyalty and belonging to the homeland, his love for the homeland and concern for its stability and security, and the fight against intolerance, and that the extent to which the university promotes positive citizenship values among its students from the point of view of faculty members on the questionnaire as a whole, was average. There were statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) between the responses of the sample members about the extent to which the university promotes positive citizenship values among its students from the point of view of the faculty members attributed to the variable of the type of university, and that the differences were in favor of private universities.
