هدفت الدراسة إلى معرفة العلاقة بين العبء المعرفي والمرونة العقلية لدى طلبة سنة اولى بجامعة حمه لخضر بالوادي، كما هدفت معرفة مستويات كل من العبء المعرفي والمرونة العقلية وما اذا كانت هنالك فروق فيهما تبعا للجنس، كم تم الاعتماد على المنهج الوصفي، واستخدام مقياس العبء المعرفي، ومقياس المرونة العقلية، مطبقين على عينة قوامها (64) طالب وطالبة سنة اولى جذع مشترك من جامعة حمه لخضر الوادي تم اختيارهم بطريقة كرة الثلج، وتم التوصل إلى النتائج التالية: 1) توجد علاقة ارتباطية ذات دلالة احصائية بين العبء المعرفي والمرونة العقلية لدى عينة الدراسة. 2) وجود مستوى مرتفع من العبء المعرفي لدى عينة الدراسة. 3) المرونة العقلية الأكثر استخداما عند عينة الدراسة جاءت في المرتبة الأول المرونة التلقائية أما الثانية فأتت المرونة التكيفية. 4) عدم وجود فروق دالة احصائيا في العبء المعرفي تعزى لمتغير الجنس لدى عينة الدراسة. 5) عدم وجود فروق دالة احصائيا في المرونة العقلية تعزى لمتغير الجنس لدى عينة الدراسة. The study aimed to find out the relationship between cognitive load and mental flexibility among first-year students at Hama Lakhdar University in El Oued. It also aimed to know the levels of both cognitive load and mental flexibility and whether there are differences in them depending on gender, how much reliance was placed on the descriptive approach, and the use of the cognitive load scale. And the mental flexibility scale, applied to a sample of (64) first-year male and female students from the University of Hama Lakhdar Al-Wadi who were selected using the snowball method, and the following results were reached: 1) There is a statistically significant correlation between cognitive load and mental flexibility among the study sample. 2) There is a high level of cognitive load among the study sample. 3) The most frequently used mental flexibility among the study sample was automatic flexibility, while adaptive flexibility came second. 4) There are no statistically significant differences in cognitive load due to the gender variable in the study sample. 5) There are no statistically significant differences in mental flexibility due to the gender variable in the study sample.
