سعت الدراسة إلى تحقيق هدف رئيس يتمثل في دور موقع التواصل الاجتماعي تويتر في إدراك الشباب السعودي خطط التنمية المستدامة، والكشف عن التأثيرات المترتبة على متابعة عينة الدراسة المضامين خطط التنمية المستدامة عبر موقع تويتر. استندت الدراسة في بناء متغيراتها وتفسير نتائجها على نظرية ثراء الوسيلة الإعلامية، كما تم توظيف منهج المسح وفي إطاره تم مسح عينة قوامها (400) مفردة من الشباب السعودي من المستويات العمرية والتعليمية المختلفة. تم توظيف أداة الاستبيان لمعرفة آرائهم حول دور تويتر. توصلت الدراسة إلى عدة نتائج مهمة منها: أشارت نتائج الدراسة أن موقع تويتر جاء في مقدمة مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي التي تتابعها عينة الدراسة ويمكن إرجاع ذلك إلى تعدد أدوات التفاعلية الخاصة بموقع تويتر. كما أوضحت الدراسة أن من أهم التأثيرات المترتبة على متابعة مضامين خطط التنمية المستدامة عبر موقع تويتر من وجهة نظر المبحوثين معرفة أسس التحول الوطني السليم في المملكة، ثم الحكم على البرامج التنموية في ضوء احتياجات المجتمع. The study sought to achieve a major goal represented in the role of the social networking site Twitter in the awareness of Saudi youths of sustainable development plans, and to uncover the effects of following up the study sample of the contents of sustainable development plans via Twitter, and the study was based on building its variables and interpreting its results on the theory of the wealth of the media outlet. The survey method was also employed, and within its framework, a sample of 400 Saudi youths of different ages and educational levels was surveyed, and a questionnaire tool was used to find out their views on the role of Twitter. The study achieved several important results, including: The results of the study indicated that Twitter was at the forefront of social media sites that the study sample follows, and this can be attributed to the multiplicity of interactive tools for Twitter. The study also indicated that one of the most important effects of following up the contents of sustainable development plans through Twitter, from the viewpoint of the respondents, know the foundations for a sound national transformation in the Kingdom, then judge the development programs in light of the needs of society.
