هدفت الدراسة التعرف إلى الذكاء الثقافي وعلاقته بالتحصيل الدراسي لدى طلبة جامعة البتراء. لتحقيق أهداف الدراسة تم تطوير مقياس للذكاء الثقافي تكون بصورته النهائية بعد التأكد من خصائصه السيكومترية من (20) فقرة توزعت على أربعة أبعاد، وتم تطبيقه على عينة تكونت من (460) طالب وطالبة من طلبة جامعة البتراء تم اختيارهم بالاعتماد على طريقة العينة العشوائية البسيطة. توصلت نتائج الدراسة إلى وجود علاقة طردية دالة إحصائيا بين الذكاء الثقافي والتحصيل الدراسي لدى طلبة جامعة البتراء، وأن مستوى الذكاء الثقافي لدى طلبة جامعة البتراء متوسط، ووجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في مستوى الذكاء الثقافي تعزى لمتغير السنة ولصالح السنة الرابعة والثالثة مقارنة مع السنة الأولى، ووجود فروق دالة إحصائيا تبعا لمتغير التخصص ولصالح طلبة الكليات العلمية، وعدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية تعزى لمتغير الجنس. This study aims at investigating cultural intelligence and its nexus to the academic performance of the students at Petra university. In order to achieve the intended goals of this study, the standards of measuring cultural intelligence have been set to serve this purpose taking into consideration the psychometric features which are listed in 20 points in four aspects. These standards are used to evaluate the performance of (460) students selected randomly at the University. The study has come up with a strict connection between cultural intelligence and academic performance at university. Generally, the level of cultural intelligence is intermediate. There are circumstances that determine academic performance. Year level is an important factor. Third- and fourth-year students have better results. The majors, especially in faculties that teach science, play a key role as well. Gender plays statistically no significant role in the performance of students. (Published abstract)
