هدف البحث إلى تقييم واقع جودة التعليم الشرطي من وجهة نظر الطلبة وأعضاء هيئة التدريس والمحاضرين في كلية الشرطة. وتحديد أهم متطلبات وتحديات رفع جودة التعليم الشرطي في ضوء رؤية عمان 2040، واستقصاء آراء أعضاء هيئة التدريس حول التحسينات التي يمكن ادخالها في مناهج التعليم الشرطي لتتلاءم مع متطلبات رؤية عمان 2040، وتطوير معايير اختيار الضباط المرشحين. تم استخدام المنهج المزجي (المختلط). طبق البحث في الفصل الدراسي الثاني من العام (2023)، تكونت عينة البحث الكمية من (402) ضابطا مرشحا، وعدد (25) من أعضاء هيئة التدريس والمحاضرين بكلية الشرطة، تم اختيارهم بطريقة عشوائية، وطبق عليهم مقياس واقع متطلبات وتحديات رفع جودة التعليم الشرطي في ضوء رؤية عمان 2040 من إعداد الباحث. أما عينة الدراسة النوعية (مجموعات النقاش البؤرية) فضمت (19) من أعضاء هيئة التدريس والمحاضرين بالكلية. أظهرت النتائج أن من أهم متطلبات رفع جودة التعليم الشرطي؛ وجود معايير واضحة ومحددة للاستقطاب أعضاء هيئة التدريس للتدريس بالكلية، والتوازن في التأهيل والتدريب لضباط الشرطة بين الإعداد الأكاديمي والعسكري والنفسـي، وتطوير المقررات الدراسية وأساليب التدريس لتتوافق مع متطلبات تحقيق رؤية عُمان 2040. استحداث مقررات معرفية متقدمة تواكب تقدم التعليم الشرطي في العالم، إضافة لتطوير معايير اختيار الضباط المرشحين لبرامج التعليم الشرطي من خلال إضافة مقاييس لقياس السمات الشخصية والقدرات ومستوى الذكاء. وقدمت البيانات النوعية تفسيرا وفهما أعمق لنتائج البحث الكمية. وبناء على هذه النتائج، برزت عدة توصيات، منها: أهمية وجود معايير واضحة ومحددة في استقطاب أعضاء هيئة التدريس بكلية الشرطة وتأهيليهم التأهيل المناسب، مما ينعكس على جودة التدريس بها. ومواءمة البرامج الأكاديمية لكلية الشرطة من حيث مدتها ومناهجها وأساليب التعليم والتقييم مع معايير الجودة، ومع متطلبات تحقيق رؤية عمان 2040. ومراجعة شاملة لمعايير اختيار الضباط المرشحين لبرامج التعليم الشرطي من حيث الشروط الأولية والعمر واللياقة البدنية والمؤهل وسنوات الخبرة. The research aimed to evaluate the reality of the quality of police education from the perspective of students, faculty members, and lecturers at the Police College. It identifies the most important requirements and challenges in enhancing the quality of police education in light of Oman Vision 2040. It also explores the opinions of faculty members regarding the improvements that can be introduced into police education curricula to align with the requirements of Oman Vision 2040 and to develop selection criteria for officer candidates. A mixed-method approach was used. The research was applied in the second semester of the year 2023. The quantitative research sample consisted of 402 officer candidates and 25 faculty members and lecturers at the Police College, who were randomly selected, and a scale of the reality of the requirements and challenges of enhancing the quality of police education in light of Oman Vision 2040, prepared by the researcher, was applied to them. The qualitative research sample (focus group discussions) included 19 faculty members and lecturers at the college. The results showed that among the most important requirements for enhancing the quality of police education are the presence of clear and specific standards for recruiting faculty members to teach at the college, balancing the academic, military, and psychological training for police officers, developing the curricula and teaching methods to meet the requirements of achieving Oman Vision 2040, introducing advanced cognitive courses that keep pace with the advancement of police education in the world, and developing selection criteria for officer candidates for police education programs by adding measures to assess personal traits, abilities, and intelligence levels. The qualitative data provided a deeper explanation and understanding of the quantitative research results. Based on these results, several recommendations emerged, including the importance of having clear and specific standards in recruiting faculty members at the Police College and providing them with appropriate training, which reflects the quality of teaching. Aligning the academic programs of the Police College in terms of their duration, curricula, teaching methods, and evaluation with quality standards, and with the requirements of achieving Oman Vision 2040. A comprehensive review of the selection criteria for officer candidates for police education programs in terms of initial conditions, age, physical fitness, qualifications, and years of experience.
