هدفت الدراسة إلى تعرف الاعتبارات الأخلاقية لاستخدام وتوظيف وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي في العملية التعليمية بالمدارس في نماذج بعض الدول وإمكانية الإفادة منها بسلطنة عُمان. اتبعت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي، كما استخدمت تحليل الوثائق في جمع البيانات والمعلومات. توصلت نتائج الدراسة إلى وجود اهتمام في كثير من دول العالم؛ وذلك مثل: الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، وإنجلترا، وكندا، وأستراليا وجنوب أفريقيا بوضع اعتبارات الأخلاقية لاستخدام وتوظيف وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي في العملية التعليمية بالمدارس. وركزت هذه الاعتبارات على منع استخدام أي لغة أو منشورات مسيئة أو بذيئة، ومنع التهديدات أو العنصرية أو الإيحاءات الجنسية، وحذف المشاركات التي تنتهك خصوصية الأفراد، وحذف المشاركات الخارجة عن الموضوعات المتفق على تداولها، والتزام الاتصالات عبر وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي بمبادئ الكرامة والاحترام والنزاهة التي تنعكس في سياسات المدرسة وأنظمتها ومواثيقها، ويجب ألا ينتهك استخدام وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي حقوق الطلبة أو الموظفين أو أولياء الأمور أو أعضاء المجتمع المحلي. ولا يجوز للذين يصلون إلى المدونات أو مواقع الويكي أو البث الصوتي من المدرسة باستخدام الأجهزة المدرسية تنزيل أو تثبيت أي برنامج دون إذن، وعدم النقر على الإعلانات أو المسابقات. أوصت الدراسة بقيام وزارة التربية والتعليم بسلطنة عُمان ببناء ميثاق أخلاقي لاستخدام وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي في العملية التعليمية بالمدارس يعتمد على قيم الكرامة، والأمانة، والاحترام، والتقدير، والنزاهة، والموضوعية، ومراعاة خصوصية الأفراد وحقوقهم. The study aimed to identify Ethical considerations for using social media in the educational process in schools in models of some countries and the possibility of benefiting from them in the Sultanate of Oman; study used a descriptive method, and also used the Document analysis was also used to collect data and information. The results of the study revealed that there is interest in many countries of the world, such as; the United States of America, England, Canada, Australia, and South Africa, in developing ethical considerations for the use of social media in the educational process in schools. These considerations focused on preventing the use of any offensive or obscene language or publications, preventing threats, racism, or sexual innuendo, deleting posts that violate the privacy of individuals, and deleting posts that depart from the topics agreed upon to be circulated. Communications via social media adhere to the principles of dignity, respect, and integrity that are reflected in school policies, regulations, and charters, and the use of social media must not violate the rights of students, employees, parents, or members of the local community. Those accessing blogs, wikis or podcasts from school using school devices may not download or install any software without permission, and may not click on ads or contests. The study recommended that the Ministry of Education in the Sultanate of Oman build an ethical code for the use of social media in the educational process in schools, based on the values of dignity, honesty, respect, appreciation, integrity, objectivity, and taking into account the privacy and rights of individuals.
