تهدف الدراسة إلى التعرف على العوامل المؤثرة على أداء الطلاب في دراسة PIRLS والاستراتيجيات التي اتبعتها كلا من سنغافورة وأستراليا، وذلك من خلال اتباع المنهج المقارن بمدخل جورج بريداي بخطواته الأربعة: الوصف والتفسير، والمقارنة، والمقابلة، والمقارنة. توصلت الدراسة إلى عدة نتائج، أهمها: أن كلا الدولتين وضعت معايير وطنية لتطوير مهارة القراءة لدى الطلاب واتبعت العديد من الاستراتيجيات والآليات التي ساعدت في تعزيز معرفة القراءة والكتابة ودعمت طلابها وقدمت لهم الدعم الكبير، ووفرت لهم البرامج التعليمية الخاصة في مجال القراءة، كما أن العوامل المحيطة بالطلاب كان لها الدور البارز في التأثير على أداء الطلاب وتنمية المهارات القرائية لديهم على اختلاف التنوع الثقافي والاجتماعي. The study aims to identify the factors influencing students' performance in the PIRLS study and the strategies followed by both Singapore and Australia, by following the comparative curriculum of George Bereday's entrance with its four steps: description and interpretation, comparison, interview, and comparison. The study reached several conclusions, the most important of which was that both States developed national standards for the development of students' literacy skills and followed many strategies and mechanisms that helped to promote literacy, supported their students, and provided them with substantial support. They were provided with special educational programs in the field of reading, and the factors surrounding students played a prominent role in influencing students' performance and developing their reading skills in different cultural and social diversity.
