هدفت الدراسة إلى الكشف عن تصورات أولياء أمور الطلبة الجامعيين حول أهمية الأنشطة الطلابية في الجامعة في بناء شخصياتهم، ومعرفة الفروق في التصورات في ضوء متغير النوع الاجتماعي والمؤهل العلمي. لتحقيق هدف الدراسة أعدت الباحثة مقياسا للتصورات مكونا من ستة محاور، وهي: تنمية المبادئ والقيم، وحل المشكلات، وإبراز السمات الإبداعية وتنمية المواهب، وتنمية مهارات سوق العمل، ومهارات التواصل الاجتماعي، وتعزيز التطبيق العملي للمقررات الدراسية. اعتمدت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي، وطبقت الأداة على عينة عشوائية من أولياء أمور الطلبة الجامعيين من أفراد المجتمع العماني بلغ عددهم (128) ولي أمر من الآباء والأمهات. توصلت الدراسة إلى أن أولياء أمور الطلبة الجامعيين بسلطنة عمان لديهم تصورات إيجابية مرتفعة حول دور الأنشطة الطلابية في تشكيل شخصية الطالب الجامعي؛ إذ بلغ المتوسط الحسابي الكلي للمحاور الستة (2.57)، ولم تظهر فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية لتصورات أولياء أمور الطلبة الجامعيين تعزى لمتغيري النوع الاجتماعي لولي الأمر (أب/ أم)، ومؤهله العلمي (دبلوم عام فأقل/ أعلى م الدبلوم العام). أوصت الدراسة باستثمار الجامعات للتصورات الإيجابية لأولياء أمور الطلبة في تطوير برامجها وأنشطتها الطلابية وإشراكهم في تنفيذها والاستفادة من خبراتهم. اقترحت الدراسة إجراء مزيد من البحوث المرتبطة بالأنشطة الطلابية في الجامعات، وتعرف واقعها من وجهة نظر الطلاب والأساتذة، والتحديات التي تواجههم في تحقيق أهدافها. The study aimed to explore the perceptions of parents of university students regarding the importance of student activities in building their personalities, and to understand the differences in these perceptions in light of the variables of gender and educational qualification. To achieve the study's objective, the researcher developed a scale consisting of six dimensions: development of principles and values, problem-solving, highlighting creative traits and talent development, developing workplace skills, social communication skills, and enhancing practical application of academic courses. The study adopted a descriptive approach, and the instrument was applied to a random sample of 128 parents of university students from the Omani community. The study found that parents of university students in the Sultanate of Oman have high and positive perceptions regarding the role of student activities in shaping the personality of the university student. The overall mean score for the six dimensions was 2.57. There were no statistically significant differences in the perceptions of parents of university students based on gender and educational qualification variables. The study recommended that universities capitalize on the positive perceptions of parents towards their students' development by enhancing their programs and student activities, involving parents in their implementation, and benefiting from their experiences. The study also proposed conducting further research related to student activities in universities, exploring their current status from the perspectives of students and professors, and identifying the challenges they face in achieving their objectives.
