هدف البحث إلى التحقق من فاعلية استخدام استراتيجية تنال القمر في تنمية مهارة الفهم القرائي للمقروء في مادة اللغة الإنجليزية لدى طالبات الصف الثاني ثانوي في محافظة حقل. ولتحقيق أهداف البحث، استخدم المنهج التجريبي ذو التصميم شبه التجريبي القائم على تصميم مجموعتين متكافئتين، وتم تصميم عددا من أدوات ومواد البحث وهي: قائمة مهارات الفهم القرائي - اختبار الفهم القرائي - دليل المعلمة لتنمية مهارة الفهم القرائي من خلال استخدام استراتيجية تنال القمر (POSSE). وبعد أن تم تحكيمها والتحقق من صحتها وثباتها تمت تجربتها بعد ذلك على عينة قصدية قوامها (72) طالبة. توصل البحث إلى نتائج عدة، من أهمها: 1) وجود فرق دال إحصائيا عند مستوى دلالة (α≤0.05) بين متوسطي درجات المجموعة التجريبية والمجموعة الضابطة لاختبار الفهم القرائي ككل للمقروء لصالح المجموعة التجريبية. 2) وجود فرق دال إحصائيا عند مستوى دلالة (α≤0.05) بين متوسطي درجات المجموعة التجريبية لاختبار الفهم القرائي ككل للمقروء لصالح الاختبار البعدي. وهذا يؤكد فاعلية استراتيجية تنال القمر (POSSE) في تنمية مهارة الفهم القرائي لدى طالبات الصف الثاني ثانوي في محافظة حقل، وفي ضوء هذه النتائج، قدم البحث عدد من التوصيات والمقترحات. The research purpose was to check the effectiveness of the POSSE Strategy on improving reading comprehension skill for second secondary students in Haql. To achieve the research objectives, the researcher employed the quasi-experimental design, and the sample of the research was a purposive sample consisting of (72) students. Also the researcher prepared three tools and research materials, which are: a list of the reading comprehension skills, the reading comprehension skill test, and teacher's guide to employ the strategy of POSSE to improve reading comprehension skill. The results of the research revealed that: 1) There was a statistically significant difference at the level of (α≤0.05) between the mean scores of the experimental group and the control group in the post-test of the reading comprehension skill on the level of reading comprehension skill, in favor of the experimental group, 2) There was a statistically significant difference at the level of (α≤0.05) between the mean scores of the experimental group in the pre-test and post-test of the reading comprehension skill on the level of reading comprehension skill, in favor of the experimental group, Such results revealed the effectiveness of POSSE Strategy based on the results, the research provide some recommendations and suggestions.
