تهدف الدراسة إلى الكشف عن واقع ودور التربية البيئية في تشكيل الوعي البيئي مع إبراز أهميتها ودورها في المناهج التربوية، ومعرفة مدى تطبيق التلاميذ لمعارفهم البيئية على أرض الواقع. وقد تم إجراء الدراسة على عينة تتكون من 300 تلميذا وتلميذة من الشعب العلمية والأدبية للسنتين الثانية والثالثة ثانوي على مستوى الثانويات الموجودة بمدينة مغنية. وقد بينت النتائج التي تم التوصل إليها التوجه النظري لدى التلاميذ نحو البيئة أفضل من التوجه الفعلي سواء في الشعب العلمية أو الأدبية. The aim of the study is to uncover the role of environmental education in shaping environmental awareness, while highlighting the importance and role of environmental education in educational curricula, and to know the extent to which students apply their environmental knowladge on the ground. The study was conducted on a sample of 500 students (boys and girls) from the scientific and literary streams of 2 and 3 grades of the four secondary existing in Maghnia city. After using the statistical methods we arrived at the following results: 1) Environmental awareness among students in science and literature is average. 2) The students theoretical orientation towards the environment is better than the effective orientation both for students and literary students.
