هدفت الدراسة إلى الكشف على طبيعة العلاقة بين الرهاب الاجتماعي وتقدير الذات لدى الطفل، والكشف على الفروق في الرهاب الاجتماعي لدى الطفل باختلاف المتغيرات الديمغرافية (السكن، مستوى التحصيل الدراسي للطفل، المستوى الاقتصادي للأسرة)، والكشف على الفروق في تقدير الذات لدى الطفل باختلاف المتغيرات الديمغرافية (السكن، مستوى التحصيل الدراسي للطفل، المستوى الاقتصادي للأسرة). استخدمت الباحثة المنهج الوصفي الارتباطي، واعتمدت الاستبانة كأداة لجمع البيانات، والتي طبقت على عينة مكونة من (327) أما من أمهات أطفال مرحلة الروضة في محافظة الأحساء تم اختيارهن بأسلوب العينة الميسرة (المتاحة). توصلت الدراسة إلى جملة من النتائج أهمها: وجود علاقة ارتباطية عكسية (سالبة) قوية ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى الدلالة (0.05≥ α) بين الرهاب الاجتماعي وتقدير الذات لدى الطفل من وجهة نظر الأمهات، كما كشفت النتائج عن عدم وجود فروق دالة إحصائيا عند مستوى الدلالة (0.05≥ α) بين متوسطات درجات الأطفال على الدرجة الكلية لمقياسي الرهاب الاجتماعي وتقدير الذات تعزى لمتغيري: (منطقة السكن، المستوى الاقتصادي للأسرة)، في حين وجدت فروق دالة إحصائيا عند مستوى الدلالة (0.05≥ α) بين متوسطات درجات الأطفال على الدرجة الكلية لمقياسي الرهاب الاجتماعي وتقدير الذات تعزى لمتغير المستوى التحصيلي الدراسي للطفل. وفي ضوء ما أسفرت عنه الدراسة من نتائج أوصت بـ: بتصميم البرامج والأنشطة التي من شأنها أن تسهم في خفض مستوى الرهاب الاجتماعي وتزيد من تقدير الذات لدى الأطفال، وبتزويد المدارس ورياض الأطفال بالأخصائيات الاجتماعيات المؤهلات للتعامل مع الأطفال الذين يعانون من مشكلات نفسية. The study aimed to reveal the nature of the relationship between social phobia and self-esteem in the child, and to detect the differences in social phobia in the child according to the demographic variables (housing, the level of educational attainment of the child, the economic level of the family), and to detect the differences in the self-esteem of the child according to the different variables demographics (housing, the level of educational attainment of the child, the economic level of the family), and to achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used the descriptive correlational approach, and adopted the questionnaire as a tool for data collection, which was applied to a sample consisting of (327) mothers of kindergarten children in Al-Ahsa governorate, who were chosen using a method. The soft sample (available), and the study reached a number of results, the most important of which are: the existence of a strong inverse (negative) correlation with statistical significance at the significance level (0.05 ≥ α) between social phobia and self-esteem in the child from the mothers’ point of view, and the results revealed that there was no there are statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05 ≥ α) between the mean scores of children on the total score of the social phobia and self-esteem scales due to the two variables: (housing area, economic level addiction to the family), while there were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05 ≥ α) between the mean scores of children on the total score of the social phobia and self-esteem scales due to the variable of the child’s academic achievement level, and in light of the results of the study, it recommended: designing programs and the activities that would contribute to reducing the level of social phobia and increasing the self-esteem of children, and by providing schools and kindergartens with qualified social workers to deal with children who suffer from psychological problems.
