هدف البحث تقويم مهارات الاستيعاب القرائي لدى طالبات الصف الأول المتوسطة في محافظة بيشة. ولتحقيق هدف البحث أعدت الباحثة قائمة بمهارات الاستيعاب القرائي واختبـار مهـارات الاستيعاب القـرائي، واستخدم المـنهج الوصـفي المسحي. كما تمثلت عينة البحث في طالبات الـصف الأول المتوسط وبلغ قوامها (363) طالبة. وتوصل البحث إلى مجموعة من النتائج حيث تتوافر مهارات الاستيعاب المباشر بنسبة 70.14 بمستوى جيد وجاءت في المرتبة الأولى، يليها مهارات الاستيعاب الاستنتاجي حيث إنها تتوافر لدى طالبات الصف الأول المتوسط بنسبة 49.04 بمستوى منخفض، يليها مهارات الاستيعاب التقويمي، حيث جاءت في المرتبة الأخيرة بنسبة 30.06 بمستوى منخفض. وأوصى البحث بضرورة إعداد دورات تدريبية للمعلمات أثناء الخدمة حول كيفية توظيف الاستراتيجيات الحديثة في تدريس القراءة بشكل عام وتنمية الاستيعاب القرائي بشكل خاص، وتبصير المعلمات ومشرفات اللغة العربية بالمهارات المختلفة للاستيعاب القرائي وتدريبهم على قياسها. The research aimed to evaluate the reading comprehension skills of middle school students in the Bisha Governorate. To achieve the objectives of the research, the researcher prepared a list of reading comprehension skills and a test of reading comprehension skills. The researcher used the descriptive survey method, and the sample of the research was represented by the first intermediate grade students, and it consisted of (363) female students. The research found a set of results where direct comprehension skills are available at a rate of 70.14 at a level of (good) and came in the first place, followed by inferential comprehension skills, as they are available to first-grade students at an average rate of 49.04 at a low level, followed by evaluation comprehension skills, which came in the last rank with a rate of 30.06 low level, and the researchers recommended the necessity of preparing training courses for female teachers during service on how to employ modern strategies in teaching reading in general and developing reading comprehension in particular, and enlightening teachers and Arabic language supervisors with different skills.
