هدف البحث إلى تعرف فعالية تدريس العلوم باستخدام نموذج إديلسون في تنمية عمليات العلم لدى طلاب المرحلة الابتدائية. لتحقيق هذا الهدف، أعد الباحث اختبارا في عمليات العلم الأساسية. تم استخدام المنهج شبه التجريبي. تكونت عينة البحث من (50) طالبا من طلاب الصف السادس الابتدائي قسمت عشوائيا إلى مجموعتين متكافئتين: إحداهما تجريبية بلغت (25) طالبا، درست الوحدة المختارة باستخدام نموذج إديلسون، والأخرى ضابطة بلغت (25) طالبا، درست الوحدة نفسها بالطريقة المعتادة. استغرقت تجربة البحث (12) حصة، وطبق اختبار عمليات العلم الأساسية قبليا وبعديا على طلاب المجموعتين. أسفرت نتائج البحث عن وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى (0.05) بين متوسطات درجات طلاب المجموعتين التجريبية والضابطة في التطبيق البعدي لاختبار عمليات العلم الأساسية، وذلك لصالح طلاب المجموعة التجريبية. وفي ضوء هذه النتائج، قدم الباحث بعض التوصيات والمقترحات. The research aimed to identify the effectiveness of teaching science using Edelson's model in developing science processes among primary school students. To achieve this goal, the researcher prepared a test in the basic operations of science, and the researcher used the semi-experimental approach. Where the sample consisted of (50) sixth-grade students, it was randomly divided into two equal groups. One of them is experimental amounting to (25) students, who studied the selected unit using Edelson's model, and the other is a control unit, amounting to (25) students, who studied the same unit in the usual way. The results of the search revealed that there were statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) between the mean scores of the students of the experimental and control groups in the post application of the basic science operations test, in favor of the students of the experimental group. In the light of these results, the researcher made some recommendations and suggestions. (Published abstract)
